When constructing their phase converters, a key concern was the cost of the power distribution blocks. While rectifying a separate issue, Ben stumbled upon what we believe will be one of our top-selling products.
Like Most Things, It Started With An Idea...
Ben had been working with Phoenix Phase Converters on a separate endeavor in the E-Commerce Space. During a conversation with the owner, who at this point was a friend, he let Ben in on an invention we was having developed by a company in Florida.
That engineering firm had spent 6 months and charged 50k trying to bring his invention to fruition and needless to say, Ben wanted to take his shot.
In addition to all the feathers in Ben's cap, he's got an incredible engineering mindset and he put his mind to it.
He provided a shopping list to the owner to be there when he arrived and booked a flight.
Less than 24 hours from the time he landed. he had a working prototype running.

That was a cool opportunity for Ben to flex his brain and implement a solution, but heres where the money maker part comes to fruition.
Power blocks were a big line item and Ben heard the owner on the phone with his partner having a lively discussion about the issue. Ben had been additive manufacturing for some time and saw a path to alleviating this pain. He quickly sourced a company to complete his idea and was on his way to curing their woes. Sourcing the exact lugs without plastic bases and, installing a small print farm and printing his own gave to a huge cost reduction for the PPC team. A 90k annual expense war reduced to 6k creating an 85% Cost Savings.
Seeing this profitibilty element makes it very exiting for Ben to bring this concept to a global level.
